The outcome to any oil pollution response incident depends primarily on the way the situation is handled at the onset. A rapid well-structured response decreases the potential health threat and/or damage to the environment. Pollution incidents can rapidly develop into disasters and have the potential of occurring anytime and almost anywhere. PESCo Response Centres and Asset Management Packages ensure response capabilities are maintained to internationally recognised Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels of response. In Egypt, PESCo are currently managing Tier 2 spill response centres and assets on behalf of EGPC and EEAA to provide national support around the Egyptian coastline. The five fully equipped response centres under our management in Alexandria, Suez, Ras Gharib, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh are fully manned and operate in accordance with the PESCo management systems internationally certified to ISO 9001/2000 and 14001/2004 standards. Our Management Packages include: Consultancy, Centre Design, Staffing, Training, Equipment Refurbishment and Maintenance along with constant consultancy on all response management issues.
